As 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you.

This year has been another unforgettable one for us at Willmott & Lake, and none of it would have been possible without the incredible local community we’re proud to work within. Whether you’ve sold a home with us, bought through us, rented, followed our journey on social media, supported our events, or simply stopped for a chat thank you! Every interaction genuinely means a lot.

Throughout 2025 we’ve had the privilege of selling homes across Bishop’s Stortford, Takeley, Stansted Mountfitchet, Elsenham, Newport and Great Dunmow. Helping people move within and into these areas is exactly why we started Willmott & Lake, and it’s something we never take for granted.

Giving Back to the Community

Community has always been at the heart of what we do. This year we especially loved supporting local charities, including Grove Cottage and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.

From charity challenges and walks to quizzes and fundraising events, we’re incredibly proud to say that almost £4,000 has been raised for local causes this year. Knowing that our work can help support such vital organisations makes everything even more worthwhile.

Beyond the numbers, 2025 gave us some standout moments we’ll always remember:

• Taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in May for Grove Cottage

• Launching our Business Spotlight series, interviewing local business owners and sharing their stories

• Celebrating our first birthday on 1st July which is a huge milestone for us

• Launching our Early Access Facebook Group, giving buyers first look at our listings before they go live

• Sponsoring Bishop’s Stortford Football Club, proudly highlighting the quickest sale-agreed time in CM23

• Taking part in the Helping Herts Charity Walk in September

• Being shortlisted for five awards at The Negotiator Awards in London and proudly bringing home Silver for East of England Regional Agency of the Year

• Raising over £2,000 for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance through our charity quiz night
